after starting to do some exercises the last two days, basically a hybrid of situp and lower back stretch, my pain level is reducing. i also took some antihistamine last night to get better sleep. i woke up 3 times, out of dreams, but i managed to sleep from 9pm to 6am, which is pretty good considering i probably only took half an hour to go back to sleep after the two dreems.

in the last one, before i decided it must be time to get up, i was thinking about how i'm going to arrange things in the downstairs room when the current guest is done and goes off to wherever she's going next, i'm going to go to the Decathlon sometime in the next week or two, and buy a bunch of those puzzle piece foam mat squares, and get enough so that i have about half of the room covered in it, and i'm going to sleep on it as well as do stretches and resistance exercise. hopefully i can find stuff that is like 1" thick, it will also insulate me against the ground, and it will be relatively easy to just pick them all up and hose them down, mop the floor.

and yeah, i have a stand-up desk, so a few segments under in front of it as well and start standing more. if my core strength is good, it should be comfortable to stand for like 45 minutes at a time between doing other things and sitting down.

it's impossible to be comfortable in your body without core strength and flexibility.

anyhoo, time to get on with the morning. cat litter needs to be emptied out and i need toilet and then i'm gonna fry up a big beef steak for breakfast.

thinking about it some more with the nasty rainy weather currently, and having the cat, and the "hippy commune" vibe of the main house, i'm going to adopt the current "tool room" as my bedroom.

it has a segment at the back of it that is probably wide enough for me to set up a bed on a raised platform, just need some plywood or so to bolt to the concrete and then cover it in a layer of EVA foam 1" thick. computer on one side with a clear water sealed and painted floor, everything painted in sky blue floor to ceiling after a waterproofing layer, so, no flies, dammit.

the door is wood, so it will be easy to take it off its' hinges and carve out a segment in the corner and put a cat-flap for kitty to go in and out. and yeah, get some acoustic foam and put segments all around the walls.

it has bars over an open section like a prison cell too. that would suit me with my monastic life right now.

i hate cooking my food in the kitchen with vegans around whining about the smell of the cooking. so... i just need to get some metal bar put up and get a rain-proof but breathable annex to cover the floor area outside, and yeah, also seal and paint all of it, then, there is already an old school laundry basin there, would be simple to add a kitchen bench and sink, put the fridge outside between the "cell" door and the laundry, and over the other end near the corner, a neat space to put a bbq pit made with cinderblocks, fire bricks and a big grill and a tray underneath to catch the ash. then i can have espetada every day. and yeah, not a fridge, a fucking freezer. something like 150L stuffed to the gills with beef.

would also suit the "caretaker" role i seem to be fitting into, and in the house it can be 100% big agra food and out with me, bbq only.

yeah, shit, i can do other cool things with that space too. there is plenty of extra room on that raised platform, i can just put a set of shelves in there, and voila, clothing storage. and i can put my speakers in the perfect acoustic spot for my desk position, up high in the corners near the roof.

mmm. eating this steak at 8am in the morning, i know this is the right plan.

i've also had the idea of creating a nostr protocol for airbnb style room rental... gonna think about it some more but pretty much, my current job is going to be good preparation for me to be able to do this later on. maybe someone will even throw some funding at it so i can get more people on it. make a whole network of little sites sharing ad data and charging subscriptions for featured placement, etc. make it all pay-by-bitcoin only, zaps preferred.
