On spam & the dead internet theory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0N9fD3rFaw

Unfortunately, this dilemma is all too human, and a story as long as history where all we have to do (but somehow perpetually fail at) is use the technology properly.

Public key cryptography is amazing and enables us to trustlessly verify the source of content. This, at a fundamental level solves AI generated junk polluting the internet; social issues with misinformation, political propaganda, and so on.

The decisions and the responsibility are ours, and we can either trust or we can verify.

Nostr is the antithesis to the dead internet; it is the alive, eccentric, free and decentralized internet that I grew up with and loved. One of the beautiful things about developing on Nostr is that you have an instant network effect, where you can start to see the data for yourself, view social graphs, verify content and build webs of trust around creators and put the power back into their hands. For users too, creating the network that you want and not what Elon tells you that you want.

Ultimately, freedom technology wins. Onwards ✊

Nostr so obviously fixes 'Dead Internet Theory'.

Only if we have key signing parties. Few.

let’s do it

It depends on the user. Obviously today we have a lot of people which just like tosupport their status quo instead of finding reality.

How do we know if a user on nostr is an ai bot or not? I played around with chat gpt, its really impressive.

Reply guy is easy to spot because its just a copy of your own message.

But I've noticed some users that follow me that always like my stuff within a second of posting? Surely that's a bot?
