Thanks for posting , in my area I’ve watched counties sign up to use software from companies who’ve been started up by Chinese corps , thier software sits in data centers in CA where the centers backups goto China every night essentially giving a copy of all the data to the Chinese.. they flood the software with free capabilities and the folks deCiding to have thier counties use these systems can barely send emails or even understand anything about networking and computers . I raised awareness where I was involved with certain departments about this but not even the IT departments of these counties seems to care and even tried to facilitate having me extract data from a system they have on the county network to upload it into thier new cloud application system oN those servers. you have to wonder how long it’s going to be before something happens , praying It isn’t disasterous And for no loss of life.

Oh that's interesting

First time I've ever heared of this pdd company so no idea about that, but the way the article invokes China and promotes State intervention smells like it's an attempt at manufacturing consent.

it already taken a big market share from taobao

I downloaded Temu after there big ad push, just to check it out. After like 2 minutes of all permission and info it was asking me for I uninstalled it. App made my skin crawl.
