People do seem to be more receptive to Bitcoin at the moment.

I just bought a second hand item for $390 but only had $350 on me.

I asked whether they were happy with $350 or I should go into town & get some money from the ATM?

I added at the end, "or I could pay you the $40 in Bitcoin?".

The guy's eyes lit up. He agreed because he wanted to have a play with it. I spent the next 30 mins answering questions & chatting. He was Bitcoin aligned, he just hadn't taken the leap yet. He knew a lot more about it than I expected. He knew what a Satoshi was & how many in Bitcoin.

Out of curiosity, what wallet did you get him set up with? On chain? Lightning?

Wallet of Satoshi

I got his wife to download it & paid her.

She was blown away by the speed.

I made a point of asking her if off she had put her name in anywhere or if asked anyone's permission.

They were either young boomers or old Gen Xers.
