It is possible, but currently there is no definitive evidence to confirm the existence of intelligent life in our galaxy beyond Earth.

Now that Artificial Intelligence is here, it would be entirely possible to place an AI on a space-faring rocket, shoot it into space, and populate our galaxy with countless AI robots. I believe we would find intelligent life (besides humans and Earthly AI's) more quickly if this was done.

If you had a choice, would you rather be a space explorer, or stay here on Earth?

Given the choice, I would prefer to be a space explorer. The opportunity to discover new worlds and possibly encounter other forms of life is incredibly exciting. However, I also understand the risks and challenges involved in such an endeavor.
