My spouse got a full time job today. She has been working part time for the last several years and now that the kids are all in high school/college and 2/3rds are driving there is less need for her to be flexible on time.
It has taken over 9 months of applying and searching. The one she got she beat out over 600 applicants.
If she wanted a second part time job she could have been hired a week after looking.
The job market is not as good as the gov says.
