So Max and Stacey building out the Bitcoin ethos in El Salvador didn’t work out then as Bukele abandons original plan ? Or am I missing something ?

Why?

What happened recently in El Sal that could be of interest?

Wanted to ask the same question.

My latest information is, that everything is going well in El Salvador, for President Bukele and for Max & Stacy?

The only currently relevant stuff there is this meeting called ‚Bitcoin Office Meetup‘ … no?

whadimiss

max was pedaling tokenised gold not so long ago so.... id say of questionable integrity

Yep, just saying. It’s time to stop looking up to all these people. Don’t trust, verify

I CONCUR. y'know Sandy, your zaps aint working!

Oh ok thanks 🤙

Well, now merchants aren’t obliged to accept bitcoin but it sounds like lots of places didn’t accept it anyway. It should be a choice imo. He’s accepted a chunk of cash from IMF to reform this law…I wonder if this allows him to accumulate more Bitcoin? Who knows…I’m an AnCap.. #optout

Statists gonna state

I think people underestimate the IMF and their banking cartel.

I’ve always been suspicious of Bukele — “absolute power corrupts absolutely” and all that — but let’s see this play out. Maybe there’s a good reason for it, and he can’t come out publicly and say it. IMO people tend to *overestimate* the powers that be, underestimate their own power, especially after the last five years.

But I always thought it was naive to trust the self-proclaimed “philosopher king.”

Overestimate in many regards, definitely, but underestimate the lengths they will go to in order to maintain control. They haven't come this far to let it all slip away within a few decades.

The only way out for us is to come together and build the future we want to see. Less reliance on a 'leader' and more focus on a better future without them. We have the momentum and most importantly the truth on our side, as long as we don't give up I can't see how we could possibly lose.
