There have been 186,736 – 210,090 documented civilian deaths from violence between 2003 to 2023 in Iraq.

That comes to around $800,000 per civilian death from violence on average.

Yep somehow it’s easier to incentivise mass industrial-scale death than it is to provide people with the necessary infrastructure to create a better society.
