You don’t have to trust Jack. Trust the code. I haven’t seen anyone get censored here yet. I see plenty get censored on twitter. Also, Jack has publicly talked about how his options at Twitter were to comply and censor users or lose Twitter completely and make all of his staff unemployed. If he didn’t comply, the stock would’ve tanked and then the shareholders would’ve replaced him with someone else that would end up doing the same thing anyway. Not much of a choice. Recommend you listen to Jack’s point of view. He’s publicly said that the only solution is to make a system that can’t be coerced. That’s why he’s putting his money where his mouth is investing in nostr. There is no central point that can be coerced on nostr. I think he learned a big lesson and it’s unreasonable to expect him to foresee all the censorship getting so out of control. Most Americans thought free speech would never be violated like that.
