#Chinese moment:

Yesterday I saw some discussion of what the symbol for sats is/should be.

nostr:npub160t5zfxalddaccdc7xx30sentwa5lrr3rq4rtm38x99ynf8t0vwsvzyjc9 says โšก๏ธ

I think Iโ€™ve seen ่ฐ before and Iโ€™m sorta partial to it because itโ€™s literally the kanji for Satoshi, but I get why people who donโ€™t write characters wouldnโ€™t like it ๐Ÿ˜‚

The other one that came up was ไธฐ, which I thought was really interesting. Itโ€™s much easier for anyone to write than ่ฐ, but I think itโ€™s interesting that (in Chinese, at least) it means abundance.

Was this intentional? Iโ€™m interested in who decided to use ไธฐ as the symbol for sats and why.
