I’ve decided to give up on getting a new digital camera and go for a compact film camera instead.
If you're into rangefinders at all the Canon Canonet QL17 GIII is a fantastic little camera.

Thank you for the advice. I’m interested in the Rollei 35, which is even smaller than a rangefinder.
