How do you get started if you want to do this at home as a beginner?

What exactly do you want to do? Projects you have in mind?
Hmmm, that's a good question. Maybe build a simple cube shelf with better quality wood than the ones in the store.
So beginner woodworking? Basic setup with hand tools or little more with modest power tools?
I have nothing and a tight budget. What would be the ideal scenario in this case, maybe for different price ranges (type of wood, tools, etc)
I spent about $30 on the cheap one. I would like to keep it under a hundred bucks.

I could give you the basics (woodworking, crafts) for a budget of $100. It's a challenge but it think doable. It would get you started. I am going to think about it.

I got it down to the most well rounded basics were you won't be really wasting anything as you get more skills and tools. Trying to get it down to right a $100, I'm over $11. I think I have squeezed all I can! Would have been easier a few years ago!
