He lets me hold his keys for him. He trusts me.

🤣🤣

Is it not a large multi sig divided among the board?

I genuinely have no clue. Makes sense though

I think most of Michael's stash is in the company itself. That way it's like more protection. It's a harder target, but he controls the investing so he controls funds, so he still controls the company lol

“MicroStrategy uses a combination of institutional-grade digital asset custodians to store their Bitcoin holdings. These custodians provide cold storage solutions to ensure the security of the digital assets. Cold storage is an offline storage method that is considered the most secure way to store cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, as it is not connected to the internet and thus less vulnerable to hacking attempts.

The company has not disclosed the specific names of all the custodians they use, but it is known that Coinbase is one of them. Coinbase is a well-established cryptocurrency exchange and custodian, providing secure storage solutions for institutional clients.

In summary, MicroStrategy stores their Bitcoin holdings with the help of multiple institutional-grade digital asset custodians, using cold storage solutions to ensure the security and safety of their digital assets.”

Interesting. Thanks!

I think it'll be interesting to watch the greed and corruption for bitcoin destroy groups.

Definitely 🍿

Y tu brutey?

I think the corporate stash is with coin base custody, unsure on personal, doubt he has zero in cold storage tho

Coinbase custody, is that a service for high net worth individuals/companies ?

some convoluted custody with assurances etc for corpos and people who want it

probably easier to sell to a board of directors

Right. They have to be able to sell easily

This ⬆️ which really sucks. MSTR should have a proprietary multi-sig scheme.

No third party would be better. I wonder if the members of the board are familiar with multi-sig or even just self custody

MS almost certainly at Coinbase IMO

Thanks !

how sad

that they don’t self custody ?

I've thought of this as well, as he publicly announces everytime he buys more. I suspect the vast majority is locked into a multisig account where shareholders have watch only access to the wallet

I thought it was something similar but they keep it with coinbase custody. Hodlcuban and SatsMcd wrote about this in the replies
