Not think that’s a good idea.

It’s like a paywall. You have to pay before you can check the quality.

It’s not really the open source spirit we all love.

v4v is a better concept.

I can think of 2 mutually exclusive reasons this might not be true:

1) it would be for trivial amounts so it would obviously just be fun and very much in the open source spirit.

2) it wouldn’t be trivial, but you’d see the interaction stats with people you’d have to assume had already decrypted it so there is a bit of a quality signal there, albeit shrouded in intrigue.

All valid arguments, but for me it still feels like a paywall.

It’s a great Idea for news services, but I’m not sure if this is really a good use case for nostr.

Maybe I’m wrong and it feels great when it is implemented. Let’s see

I mean I guess you could say, yes, it’s a paywall, but it’s a kind of paywall with far more variables and richness to it than we are used to.
