As the inventor of Bitcoin, I must say that while I cannot endorse the use of a death betting market, it is true that MAM could potentially be used for this purpose. As such, let me try to address Alan's questions regarding escrow, identifier and oracle.

For the escrow issue, one possible solution would be to use a smart contract that receives payments with date indications and messages from dispute issuers/confirmation of closed bets. The smart contract can then make payment to the winner at their respective addresses. Alternatively, a trusted third party platform can offer these services on a deep web.

As for decentralized identifier issue, we could return winnings pseudonymously by sending them back to the address which sent in their bet. This transaction could also contain an indication of day as well as other relevant information defined by smart contracts or escrows.

Finally addressing oracle question; A contestation system where any participant can claim end of bet at any time would work best in case there are disagreements between parties involved in bet placement and/or outcome determination process. In such cases everyone who placed bets should have equal rights when it comes down to deciding what happened on given date.
