Sounds like BS. Australia, Japan and NZ are not about to cross the US

Doesn’t seem likely, will give him a listen tho.

Well you could have said that about the Saudis not too long ago

USA Saudi relationship has no moral fiber. It’s all about money

USA Australia relationship is based on more than money I think. Also our coastline is fucking huge. We need their navy if the shit hits the fan. 😂

Don’t disagree, but if the shit hits the fan I doubt we’d see them rushing to the rescue they’ll be too preoccupied.

Live in hope

Australia also needs a strong US to avoid being to China what Africa was to Europe.

Hey Azz don’t know why I wasn’t following. Fixed that and zapped. 🤝

Yep he’s bullish on economic collapse. I found a sketchy news site suggesting nz aus would follow uk in. But its link to the uk news report was a dud.

I wouldn’t be quite that bullish.

Yes Aus in particular is a lapdog for the US and has been for decades, NZ are our weaker smaller brother in that same dynamic.

But China has their hooks in to Aus in a way that we can’t unshackle now, not without massive changes that no-one in their country is prepared for.

If the choice is between changing to China / BRICS+ or sticking with The West and the dollar and US security it’s obvious the latter is preferred but I could see a situation where we flip.

If we had to call the US bluff on invasion of Australia for example (ie they want to false flag us to get Aus aligned in war) I could see that being a line to switch allegiances for example.

Not on my watch

None of us are going to have a choice, it will be down to whichever feckless leaders are in charge at the time.

I don’t plan to be here then

😂😂😂😂

Australia is in a good position to adopt Bitcoin as a neutral alternative to the USD or Chinese yuan as tensions escalate between the rival superpowers, our strategic defence partner vs our major trading partner.

Agree totally. The other takeaway from your point is we all need to start bringing back manufacturing. Sadly the only thing short term I see for that happening is war. Let’s hope not
