Yeah I remember years ago watching LOTR and it was sooo long, then just stopped!
I was like WTF just happened?
Then I found out there was a couple more to watch, put me off since I spent so long watching the 1st one and it didn’t finish so I gave up on the rest!

I guess I'm into really specific sorts of fantasy
Not sure I'd like Harry Potter if I saw it now either, maybe nostalgia and childhood has a lot to do with it in that regard

I believe every movie has its time and place.
However I did just visit NZ and saw some amazing areas of where LOTR was filmed!
I'm shook, I expected it all to have been made in the UK, but thinking back now it makes a ton of sense
