It’s ironic that in order for humanity to have propagated civilization and not destroy themselves they had to reject physical apparent reality and conform to the ascetic ideal…. But fast forward 5,000-10,000 years later and in order to propagate through the great filter we have to reject the ascetic ideal and accept physical reality and power projection of our more savage instincts.

What a quandary!
