This is all rooted in Postmodernism. Reading Stephen Hicks’ book really helped me understand these people, and lower my heart rate when hearing them. They know it doesn’t work, they don’t care, and it must work because it’s virtuous to them. They openly teach their disciples to not argue facts, but to sidetrack into totally irrelevant areas so as to get away from the inconvenient facts.
