Legacy tv stations like NBC are disconnected from economic reality. Their funding comes from pharma ads, which subsidizes poor content like SNL (that hardly anyone watches). The pharma ads are not so much to advertise to consumers, but to prevent the tv news programs from running any negative stories about pharma. The pharma money comes from the fiat spigot and fraud.

The shows are just a front for pharma money. They’re advertisers that happen to have shows…to give the appearance of legitimacy. Similar to how airlines are just banks that happen to run airplane flights.
