Anybody have furniture advice for me?
I will be moving into a new house in the next few months. I will need to buy livingroom furniture. I was thinking of a 3-seater couch and a swivel-recliner chair for me, plus small tables next to the furniture (maybe not a coffee table). Someone out there must have formed some opinions about furniture, really like someething or really hate something. Please offer them.
Buy something that lasts from a local craftsman. Worth the work to find.
Yesterday I got into a new Airbnb in Malaga and was reflecting on the fact that in the past few months I had the exact same IKEA plates in three different countries from Asia to Europe.
Yes, also vintage, Mr Mod in Ōtautahi, Christchurch always had a good eye, and I think Mr Bigglesworthy for Mid-Century… might be inflated pricing though.
Once saw a chair completely covered in faux bear fur. Was amazing.

Are you still living on country side ? Those rustic farmhouse style ceiling bar wood slabs go nice with scandi as it has light spaces. Perhaps along Scandinavian/Nordic design ? It’s minimalist, clutter free, homely and influenced by traditional craftsmanship.
