She just wakes up scared and yells (2.5yo). It’s not night terrors because she’s awake. She eats real food and we barely use screens. So much energy and so strong willed. Outgrew the nap but has always been a poor sleeper

I’d try something like this. Rub it into her feet before bed. Melatonin won’t help as the half life is very short and the effects would wear off quickly after falling asleep.
I’d also look into grounding sheets and pillow cases if you don’t already use them. I experienced the same symptom your daughter has for most of my life, at times severely, and found grounding sheets to be an instant game changer that have reduced these occurrences to nearly zero.

Not sure if this is related , but it just stuck out to me, but one of her knitted blankets has a ton of static electricity I’ve noticed. Maybe I’ll ditch that too
Yeah I’d switch to grounding sheets. I’m not an expert in them but I can say I’ve never slept as well as I do now. Good luck brother and let me know how it goes.
