I wasn't trying to harry you. Just need a break from the noise of the microblogging feed.
Someplace to hide out and have deeper conversations.
I'm happy with Freerse, for now, but look forward to whatever you have cooked up. 😊

I feel your pain.
I also want a place with less activity and whatever comes should be very high signal.
I have this concept of an "Inbox" coming to Highlighter, where you can get a much more focused view of content, mostly just long-form plus the odd kind:1 that has created some interesting discussion, and only for the people you choose, so you might "follow" 1000 people but only put 10 or 20 people to see their most impactful stuff in your inbox.
(Copywriting of this screenshot is still very much a work-in-progress)

That would be good.
I use follows to curate access to me, and then I read from a favorites list. Similar idea, but even my faves are often just shitposting or fighting and I occasionally need a break from that.
Or, as Madeleine L'Engle wrote:
Someplace warm.
Someplace warm and sparsely populated.
I once had the privilege of inspecting one of Madeleine L'Engle's handwritten manuscripts in the archives of Wheaton College...😆
Did you really? She's one of my favorite authors.
I first read "A Wrinkle In Time" and it's sequels. Can't find it now, but here's a snap of the next two.😃

I enjoyed looking over the manuscript; as I recall, it had lots of notes in the margins. The library also has a large C.S. Lewis collection.😃
