⚡️👀 NEW - It was unexpected, but Twitter (the one with the blue bird and without Elon Musk) could soon be making a comeback.

The founders of Operation Bluebird claim that "the TWITTER and TWEET trademarks have been removed from X Corp.'s products, services, and marketing activities, effectively abandoning this iconic brand with no intention of reusing it," according to the petition they filed with the US authorities.

While waiting for a judge to rule, the start-up has wasted no time: a twitter.new website is already online, where internet users can reserve their future username.

🗞️ You can already reserve usernames here: https://www.twitter.new/

Cute, giving 2009 nostalgia, but still gonna be centralized as fuuuu.... 👀

Rip bluesky.

I've already reserved my handle.

Wow I didn’t think about it

Twitter was gay. X is bi. Maybe this is what's needed to get people to stop calling X Twitter?

They're both centralized, algorithm driven, slop for sheeple. The evolution will not be centralized.

will the same thing happen that happened with flapy bird? others will simply take the name Twitter but it will no longer have anything that made the first version of the page special
