Anyone tried putting music onto nostrnests. I just sat in on a sound check for #[0] and there was a fair amount of fading in and out on the sound coming over the space. Any ideas on why that might be? After the sound check there was a conversation between audience on stage and the sound was crystal clear? Is the music maybe creating a larger data package that is having trouble being handled? @#[1]

it sounds like they're not using a sound board and the microphone was cutting out because the microphone was far away from the audio.

Ok, thanks. I'll get in touch with him and try to see what his exact set up was.

Hi Derek. I’m using a professional setup. Running through a pro tools hdx 2 system with Schops microphones. I checked my output signal in various ways. The audio I’m broadcasting is clean and well “recorded’. I switched from brave browser to chrome and more importantly, I have lowered my output level a lot, which improves the streaming a little, but still the sound cuts off and the level goes up and down, and at times there is distortion. Please do a short sound check with me, so you’ll hear for yourself what the problem is. I’ll dm you a new invite. Thanks!

Sound was through the spaces "play audio" feature or someone holding their phone up to a speaker?

Live music being played into a fairly decent mic/ sound system setup.

So it was coming out of the mixer into the space?

I wonder if the mixer output was too high quality or something, so it was being downsampled somewhere along the way.

Ok, yea. I'll try to get him to look at some of these ideas and see if he can trim it up. Thanks

48 kHz 24 bit

What bitrate should it be? Do you know this?

Nope.

I think so. He spent a while setting up what I assumed was a pretty pro equipment set

hi! It’s a professional setup and the output signal is a nice clean. We’ve been checking this in various ways. It sounds like the stream ends up in a kind of feedback loop. Lack of bandwidth? High freqs.gets distorted and the speed varies

I guess #[8] would need to comment on how the server audio is set up. I would guess you want lower quality or compressed stream though, if you're sending huge raw uncompressed audio or something, it might just be too much.
