I Marched off of Twitter and other social media in March and mostly lurked here on Nostr. I popped back into Twitter/ FB this past week and there’s just something off about those platforms. It reminds me of when smoking was banned in bars and restaurants. For a while, I’d walk into one of the these bars and they just felt off, with the stale smoke in their air for months. Maybe that’s it—staleness, but also a wrongness because everyone knew it’s stale because the prior reality was distorted through of an act of manipulation.
