is the url correct? example.com seems a bit odd

It's not an error, it just means that the domain name "example" belongs to someone else and they have pointed their DNS records to a website on our server at "com".
It's actually quite common for people to use "example.com" as a placeholder URL while building their actual website.
I see, thanks. But when I open the URL the documentation isn't there. Do you mean if I send an API call to nostr.build/API the command line is kind of self explanatory?
