I don't think that would happen for lon though. This self custody lesson is a hard one for people to remember. Greed will drive them back to paper very quickly and reduce the premium for physical gold

It might even lead people to question how many other assets are being rehypothicated.

I agree, if by revolution you mean Bitcoin and not gold. Gold is imo almost impossible to verify in massive quantities like Ft. Knox.
