Goodnight, Nostr. If you don't run your own Bitcoin node or your own Nostr relay yet, look into it. It's not overly complicated, it helps with decentralization, and gives you control over your money and your data.

I have both now. The NOSTR (rs) relay took 5X more time to set up due to my special conditions on my own hosting and port forwarding.

Setting up a BTC node was really quick. Reading the documentation took more time.

Protip: Blocks-only mode -> really saves you a lot of bandwidth but keeps you up to date with blockchain and can be disabled anytime to have the "full node".
