The KYC question is irrelevant.
Imagine a world that you rule (self sovereignty) you don't rule over others, but you rule over your own life. You construct your moral code, we all need a moral code.
Now imagine the range of morals from "fuck everybody else" to, "how can I help move society best".
The IRS and HMRC and everything you're discussing disappear into the ether at this level. I of course use Ether in the non crypto definition.
