#asknostr Iwould like to get into the crypto game, what are the NOSTR apps that deal with bitcoin? Or should I just get crypto.com?

You're going to get a million replies about this 🤣 I'll sum them up.

Bitcoin, not Crypto.

Bitcoin only!

No Shitcoins!

Don't use Crypto.com, IMO. Use a Bitcoin only exchange such as nostr:nprofile1qqsvn0dkjt80raqrxd470c98n7zrdehmcvj6p5hgw3kyku6zyd8z0fqpzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef0007a2q or nostr:nprofile1qqsrtv3u6qkj6a09tnhr3l0wy67g9uw3t57ftqyqpvztpk3wmd6306spzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef00syeaz or nostr:nprofile1qqsvwct7ssehccgu040egxe4k8k9ru4wd605r2kfv9sf94gsu8pftcqpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9uqsuamnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dshs8we63u for example. I personally use Strike.

You can actually even use Strike as your zap wallet to send and receive if you want to do that too 👀

You beat me to essentially this same answer 🤝

👆 What he said.

If what you mean is that you are looking to buy bitcoin, I recommend a bitcoin-only source.

There are KYC (know your customer) exchanges or platforms like river.com or Strike that are great.

Otherwise, you can find ways to buy it more anonymously by using P2P exchanges like Robosats or finding ways to buy in person.

Lastly, you can sell goods/services for BTC.

#Bitcoin is philosophy, crypto is scam.

If you like to buy (or sell) Bitcoin, as a beginner you might want to stick with the big exchanges like Binance or Kraken.

But:

Mind the laws (tax, AML, legal use) in your country.

Ideally you'll become a Bitcoin maximalist. Your mindset will switch and you start to denominate everything in Bitcoin/Sats, not in USD any more. You'll #hodl . You'll buy not in order to sell any more for fiat money.

You will learn about KYC coins and noKYC coins.

For noKYC-Coins or "KYC-light"-coins i'd recommend Bisq or Robosats or Hodlhodl

You'll learn about Bitcoin Lightning.

Your life's gonna be better.
