...see beyond the human shell and talk with them about their concept of identity and the constructed personality. I am not here to judge, but I am curious about why people believe who they are, and how people know who they are. I would be curious to understand if their constructed personality / identity is at peace, knows joy and feels contentment, and if so, who is the "i" that knows this?
In Eastern traditions, a practice of self knowledge is known as Dependent Arising, in Modern Science it is known as Reductionism. Either way, when we see the dependencies and interdependencies of all things, and one removes each dependency arising within that creates the constructed form and the concept of an independent self, what remains is the true or authentic self.
This "self" does not exist. It is formless and timeless. It is nothing, yet here "i AM". I EXiST. This is the #paradox of #enlightenment. This is who "we" are, so when I see beyond the human shell, "i" see myself...
