As this conference winds down, I’ve learned that there are lots of folks out there that downloaded #damus but haven’t used it in a while. Lots of comments that ‘ yeah 2024 is the year I start committing to using. #nostr more’ love to hear it! We need to learn why they left and what their needs are. The nos team is currently reading The Mom Test, so we can better understand how to talk to users. When people know we make nostr apps they want to tell us they’ll use it, they want to make us happy, they want nostr to succeed, but we need to learn about their actions and reasons not hopeful chit chat.
The Mom Test is an easy read and you can get the book directly from the author, drm free. I hope more us will read it and take its ideas to heart.

Notifications when your close follows post would be nice without opening the app
Coming up on my 1 year nostr anniversary. Damus has been running 10-11 months strong and I dont plan on switching any time soon

I would only add that we should remind everyone that you cannot rely on technical fixes to solve social problems.
If people aren't using Nostr because they don't like the people already on Nostr, then don't believe them when they try to let you down gently with "oh, I just don't do purple, it just isn't me", for example...
