Nice meme, I came from X, never heard of this before as well and I’m still struggling to find out how it works.
I feel sorry for those who don’t understand a thing regarding all these new “toys”, like average people. That’s why they jump very easily to other tools like Bluesky, etc.
At first it can looks like twitter, but nostr is much more than that. It's a protocol so you can built new things on top of it, It's also live stream, music, market place...
I understand the potential and opportunity we have here, and I’m on board with it.
However, my question was more about the average person. I strongly believe that most people don’t give much thought to this.
That’s why, until someone designs a user-friendly app with features that truly make a difference in people’s lives, this protocol will remain just a protocol.
Exactly, that's what Amethyst or Damus are trying to do, also Alby try to make lightning and nostr easy for anybody. It's just the beginning
