With computation and ZKproofs now possible on Bitcoin main-chain itself, the idea of a separate L1 for privacy seems unnecessary and misses out on the unprecedented decentralization and security of Bitcoin. ZEC is around since a while, perhaps they can make that move to become a Bitcoin L2?
