yes - for just back of own/family/office only notes in nostr json format just LAN relay is enough.
but more public clearnet/onion relays are always welcome (NOT for backup/archival) for transmitting !

Am I reading right that I could make a LAN relay say for my coworkers and I to all use for office chat or something, rather than a discord or slack or whatever?
