It's called sports washing. It covers up all the atrocities they carry out!
I think it highlights sometimes, 32 teams need to report on site about ice protest as an example, you get more midia from all the world talking about you for 2 weeks, i get the sports washing buying a Club, hosting a competition i think backfires.
Personally sport and politics should be kept separate. No banning countries or people because they said something a few yanks didn't like. Sport brings people together.
