I have a venmo account because a person refuses to pay me in a different way. it's bizarre. the thing wants to go through my entire phone book and show me every payment made by every person in my phonebook, with the name of the recipient too. most of these freaks have profile pictures. they will casually put memos on their transaction like "puff puff pass" or "for being black." the social features of venmo are all opt out or have to be manually disabled somehow and nobody does that. cash app and zelle don't reach this level of retardation and venmo is by far the most popular thing where I live.
