Dr. Andrea Arcangeli, Director of the Directorate of Health and Hygiene of the Vatican City State, has announced that Pope Francis’ cause-of-death was a stroke, which was followed by him falling into a brief coma before suffering an irreversible cardiovascular collapse (cardiac arrest). According to the medical report released by the Vatican, the Pope had a prior history of acute respiratory failure caused by multimicrobial bilateral pneumonia, multiple bronchiectases, high blood pressure, and Type II diabetes; which led him to be hospitalized in serious condition back in February.
