I have to say that steam deck is the best device I have bought in the last 10 years. I still have to run the nostr feed on it and I'll be happy 😀

You could have installed this https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gossip-git but OS updates would wipe it out... maybe you can contact the dev to make a flatpak of it.
