Love it that was a big anthem stadium song in the 80’s.
I was a late 60’s baby! 😎

This is such a great question Pringle, it’s had me racking my brain all afternoon.
What song defined my childhood.
So I’m 80’s born but 90’s really shaped my music tastes.
My parents were Christian pop songs on one hand and country music on the other.
I had an older sister (10years older) that went through an epic Doors and Beatles phase which I probably would define as the soundtracks of my childhood.
But if I was to ever think of 2 or 3 songs that truly stuck out would be
Joe Cocker - with a little help from my friends - The Wonder Years Theme Song
Twist and shout - Beatles, but from Ferris Buelers Day Off
And Love me two times - The Doors
But then if I really had to pick one that shaped my teens it would have to be Bohemian Rhapsody from Wayne’s World.
Wow great choices everyone of them and each one impacted my life in some way or another too!
Why did my head start banging as soon as read your ultimate childhood anthem - Wayne’s World ✌️☮️
Yeah Bohemian Rhapsody was pretty prominent for me in my mid teens. I've listened to every Queen album they've made several times over. Freddy was a gun.
If I had to pick 1 song it's 'The Distance' by Cake followed closely by 'Fire, Water, Burn' by the Bloodhound Gang.
I have some pretty diverse taste in music but lyrics are more important to me than the tune.
Ohhh if I think about that route of songs for that period in my life it would be
Pepper - Butthole Surfers
Buy me a Pony - Spiderbait
Blister in the Sun - Violent Femmes
🤝
And you can't forget Blubber Boy by the Gurge! 🤙
Detachable penis…
Did you frequent livid festivals brother?
I went to every one (I think)…Some of my favourite, well I can’t quite call them memories, they are very fragmented.
Nah - I'm not really into large crowds of people & we were living in the country.
When I turned 18 I moved to Melbourne & worked in catering. Used to run around trying to fill band riders for band dressing rooms for concerts. Big Day Out was our big annual event.
Wow Brisket you are always full of surprises.
I hear you the Barwon Club nearly killed me I was 21 and on big night there would be 300+ crowds it was taxing on an introvert 😅😂😎♾️
