God damn I love tiny homes.

there's a large

normal house on the property but I spend the majority of my time with the pup out here.

had a remodel where we tore out the floor, been burning that wood as well as the last of the cord from last season. as well as scraps. It's fun.

we are super off-grid, generating in upwards of 9000 watts of solar on a home that is on wheels and 30 ft by 10 ft with a hundred or so square foot loft. to think I have the audacity of wanting to put a wind turbine up as well. windy AF here.

thinking about wrapping some Christmas lights around the front yard wood teepee thing. not sure what kind. could get weird.

should probably source another cord of wood to play a responsible human.

How do you handle water in the cold temps?

All my water lines are closed cell spray foam insulated in the 2x8 wall cavity. there's an internal hundred gallon tank that I use for the on demand hot water heater because it doesn't have to work as hard to get the water hot. I pull mainly from a thousand gallon exterior tank which has a neat 15 ft heated hose that sits pretty close to the house and part of that heated part of the hose sits inside the tank. It's worked fine doesn't pull much juice either. it also looks pretty clean.

funny you ask this because I was sitting here this morning looking at the wood stove and trying to figure out how I'm going to wrap some copper coils up and down the chimney pipe to heat water

Are you harvesting rainwater into the outside tank?

I’ve been contemplating a hybrid miner/ wood stove heated water tank to provide heat and hot water for my tiny house build. Still trying to decide if I need to find a place to stash the tank inside, or if I can insulate it well and put it outside.

then again I'm also looking at how I'm going to run a miner off it

Tell me more!
