I'm glad he's out of the joint, because his trail was a travesty of justice. But at the same time (and I'm sure this is going to bring out the pitchforks on Nostr) I don't necessarily agree with his Canonization by the Bitcoin community.
All of the public evidence that I've seen points towards the fact that yes, he did order those people killed. And yes, they were probably bad guys, and yes the case against him was completely corrupt, & yes & yes & yes...
But nonetheless, as far as I can see, he pushed the button that said "kill that man," saw what he thought were the results, and said "this is good."
Correction: "his trial"
On another point: It'll be interesting to see what a "Free Ross" can "Freely Say" to the public. DID he create and operate Silk Road? DID he set up a contract kill? And what does Variety Jones think of all this?
Can he actually say anything of substance without putting himself in Jeopardy for some other future administration prosecuting him over some other aspect of what he did?
I'm interested to see what he's willing to allow himself to say in general. He got a lot of support from groups that definitely don't see eye to eye, but agreed that he should be out. The liberty world has a habit of turning on it's heroes, [insert Dark Knight quote about villains]
