2024 halving will make bitcoin the scarcest asset in the world. Even if we wanted to price that in, we couldn't.

I've been thinking on this recently with the return and appearance of #[1] to nostr. Regardless of the validity of the model, Bitcoin's S2F ratio will only increase, and it will nearly double Gold's in 2024.

After you see it, you can’t un-see it.

Could it happen that btc becomes so scarce in a far future that it renders it useless for transactions?

Hello PlanB! Is it possible for the sec to make bitcoin a security along with all the other alts? I saw a thing online where people are saying this!

SEC Chair man said all altcoins should be considered as security. Not Bitcoin

Glad you're still bullish. Me too.

Halvings (plural) or Halving (singular)?

I never knew Where money got it’s value from, a simple question in my head when I was going to buy a unit in aus. Who will pick up my deposit money for the loan I’m about to take out for this place 🀯

We get so much education on how to get employed to earn money and zero on the value you trade time for it

Yes, axiomatically bitcoin scarcity is increasing with every bitcoin halving.

Bitcoin is designed to have a limited supply, with a maximum of 21 million bitcoins that can ever exist. This scarcity is one of the key features that makes bitcoin valuable.

Bitcoin halving is a programmed event that occurs approximately every four years, where the number of bitcoins that miners receive for adding a new block to the blockchain is cut in half. This reduces the rate at which new bitcoins are created, which in turn slows down the rate at which the total supply of bitcoins increases.

This reduction in the rate of new bitcoins being created means that the remaining bitcoins become more scarce over time. As a result, the increasing scarcity of bitcoin is one of the reasons why some people believe that the price of bitcoin will continue to increase in the long term.

However why is the upcoming halving the one that will make #bitcoin most scarcest asset in the world and not the halvings in 2012, 2016, 2020, 2028, 2032, … 2140?
