Dude,

This is what I was talking about!

Some of us commute for like one hour a day, 2 hours round trip fiat mining. Why can’t I use a Bitaxe to mine through cigarette lighter connected to my phone on hotspot…….

Supporting the network 2 hours per day!

Do you use bitaxe? Is it profitable? Ty

I don’t use #Bitaxe, but want to use it in my car. I am trying to sort out how I can change my cigarette lighter to AC with a converter and whether I can mine with personal hotspot during my commute…….

It will never really be profitable, but supports the network that has supported me!

It technically would be free electricity while you run it as your alternator is doing the work!

I'm an electrician. There is very little power available through the lighter. If you were serious, run new feeds from the battery. Use at least a #4awg and run to a dedicated inverter, say a 500w or more. I can always crunch the numbers for you and size your conductors

The Bitaxe gamma uses 21.6 watts. I am planning to use an AC plug in an old car, that came with it. It is rated for 150 watts maximum! It should be good, I think!

It's not free power, the engine knows

It’s free power if you own the car. πŸ‘πŸ»

I mean it costs fuel

If you are traveling anyway, during a commute, your engines running and your alternator spinning.

Using enough fuel to produce the required energy, including that of any Bitaxes sapping torque

#Bitaxe 21 watts, cigarette lighter 120 watts usually, you would be ok…….

It still might be more expensive than the power grid is my point but yeah 21 watts isn't gonna add up to a serious energy cost either way πŸ‘ that's pretty efficient

seems feasible, depends if bitaxe can connect to the frequency the hit spot is emitting. test it out!
