In Japan, it’s fairly common for doctors to prescribe kampo- a Japanese traditional medicine with roots in Chinese medicine. They’ll also prescribe traditional drugs but theres more focus on prevention rather than intervention. People see a doctor for just about anything, and very frequently. It was something to get used to for sure, coming from a nation where I only went in when I was about to die 😂 those medical bills are no joke
