I am dead ass thinking about closing the bitcoin evangelism line of communication this go-around. Every question, every previous cycle was like "What do you think the next bitcoin will be? Habe you heard about this shitcoin? Why sjouldn't I be interested in yield?". No matter the angle, no matter how nicely I put it, what they take away from the conversation is that I think they missed the boat and I'm just resting on my dragon's hoarde of bitcoin and making fun of their shitcoin investment ideas. I'm one of those toxic, HFSP maximalist jerks. And they never fucking come back. Thry never give me the dignity of admitting that they were asking me how to get rich quick with a nutty idea, because that's what they actually saw when they looked at me. I am exhausted from being disappointed in people, watching them lose control of reasoning to the panicked cupidity of greed.
You can lead a horse to water, getting angry at a horse because it refuses to drink even though you explained that it needs water to live is on you though.
Don’t let them exhaust you, lower your expectations. People will sooner trust some idiot on the TV who they don’t know than their friend who actually cares about them - that’s just how most people are wired. They don’t know what you know, or how much you’ve learned to come to your positions, they just know you’re not the one on TV and Cramer said Bitcoin is a tough hold from here.
When you expect nothing from others you won’t be as disappointed when they do dumb shit.
