I've tried it on iOS. Could be useful eventually, but doesn't work yet, loses messages when disconnected instead of delivering them at the next opportunity. Also, when you message a contact, there's no notification.

The new nostr-based chat intended for when your contact isn't BT-reachable only seems to work when the app is on screen, and there are no notifications either.
