As the relay network shrinks claims of censorship-resistance may be in danger of over stating the case. I prefer to think of nostr as resilient like RAID. If one relay is lost, it need not be catastrophic, because there are backup. Nostr doesnt allow you to bypass censorship laws in your countries.

That's up to the government. In most cases they know everything about you, and with AI they will know even more.

But how does that stop nostr? Like how do they do it physically? Relays are relatively easy to set up and anyone can spin up a npub real quick…

Nostr the protocol will survive. But users should not think its a magic bullet that protects you from laws in your country, when posting on the public square.

Clients should only ever connect over tor.
