typical calc-

1 Watt = 1 Joule per second.

So to get to kWh per TH, the calculation for a T17+ is:

[44 Joules / (60 seconds x 60 minutes)] / (1000 Watts/kW)

= 0.000012222 kWh / TH.

So at an electricity price of $0.04 kWH (referenced above) a miner would be paying $0.0000004889 a TH.

Total power consumption = World average TeraHash x Average J/THash

775.65 x 44 = 34.1 kW

Number of ASICs = 34kW / Average ASIC power consumption 1.5kW ?

≈ 27 ASICs

Yearly power consumption = hours a year x Watts

8766 x 34kW = 298,044 kWh

Annual Electricity Cost = consumption x $0.04kWh = $11,922

I’d think this is the about right to give a good simulation, with a bunch of rusty old repurposed #ASICs

your calc est. is correct

also 35KW is not significant

but it can used in other POW chains old ASICs to earn $ or swap to BTC

still unexplained reason who doing this for what fun

- one group can be ASIC manufact. stress testing etc

= devs can easily use existing coins
